Airborne Monument in Oosterbeek.

 

Friday 15th September:

Director Airborne Museum, Wybo Boersma receives a decoration from the Major of Renkum.

 

Saturday 16th September:

Demonstration of a 75 mm Pack Howitzer. These guns were in 1944 transported to Arnhem by gliders.

 

Saturday 16th September:

Members of the demonstration free fall team ‘Red Devils’ land next to the Airborne Monument opposite the Airborne Museum at Oosterbeek.

 

Sunday 17th September:

The highlight during the annual memorial service in the Airborne Cemetery is the laying of flowers by pupils of local elementary schools on the graves of the dead.
